Industrial training institute, Sopore was established in December 1988 and started its first batch of trainees in July 1989. ITI, Sopore is situated at a distance of about 2 Km from Sopore town on Sopore - Bandipora road. The Institute under the guidance & support of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), DGT, Ministry of Skill Development and Enterpreneurship, GOI and State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), Department of Skill Development Government of Jammu & Kashmir, is rendering its services by imparting vocational training in job oriented full time courses.The institution is covered under Upgradation of 1396 ITIs through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode and the Institute Management Committee (IMC) has envisioned ITI, Sopore to become a center of excellence, with total commitment towards quality in Technical Education. Presently the Institute is running two NCVT courses and ten number of State level (SCVT) courses.
